For the Farmers Tour
Billings, MT — Wednesday, September 10, the For The Farmers Tour rolls into Stillwater County and the Yellowstone Valley, continuing its mission of celebrating and thanking Montana’s farm and ranch families. Now in its third year, the Northern Ag Network tour has grown into a signature event bringing food, fellowship, and gratitude to the people who keep Montana agriculture thriving.
The day begins at the Town & Country Fertilizer Plant (3833 Coulson Rd, Billings, MT 59101) with a live broadcast of Voices of Montana hosted by Tom Schultz, airing from 9:00–10:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend the broadcast kickoff, which sets the stage for a day dedicated to recognizing producers across the region.
From there, Northern Ag and its sponsors will visit multiple farms in Yellowstone and Stillwater Counties to deliver personalized “thank yous” and gifts to local producers. Each farm family visited will receive:
- A complimentary lunch from Great Harvest Bread Co., Montana Tamale Co., and the High Horse Saloon
- T-shirts and a Harvest Survival Kit packed with useful items,
- For The Farmers gear and refreshments courtesy of Watkins Distributing and partners.
In the afternoon, the tour will feature a Producer Roundtable with Governor Greg Gianforte starting at 4:00 p.m. at the K4 Cattle Company, (Home of Brad and Lori Kraft, address pin 45.736447, -108.721219). Moderated by Northern Ag Network’s Ag Director and broadcaster Colter Brown, the roundtable will include panel discussion with ag leaders from across the state, followed by open dialogue. This special session will highlight producers’ perspectives, challenges, and opportunities in Montana agriculture.
The day will close with a public gathering from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the High Horse Saloon in Billings. The High Horse will provide food and hospitality for this community social, which is open to all and provides an opportunity to raise a glass in appreciation of Montana farmers and ranchers.
