It is difficult to overstate the tremendous impact that President Waded Cruzado has made in the past 15 years at the helm of Montana State University. As she steps down from that role, President Cruzado took time to visit with Taylor Brown, as a guest on the statewide radio talk show “Voices of Montana”.
Arguably one of the greatest leaders on our time, Cruzado is known as perhaps the biggest advocate anywhere for the transformative power of the U.S. Land-Grant University System. When she talks about “being here for the sons and daughters of the working class”, she personally exemplifies that very opportunity, as the first member of her own Puerto Rican family to ever get to attend college.
In this uplifting discussion, we recall some of her most impressive accomplishments at Montana State University, her extreme passion for student success at all levels, and her deep love for people of the state of Montana. President Cruzado also shares some of her personal leadership philosophies and techniques, along with lessons she has learned, while inspiring so many others to propel MSU forward.
