Prices in the E.U. are rising faster than at any time since the euro currency was introduced. The annual inflation rate in the U.K. hit 5.4% in December, the highest figure there in nearly 30 years. Canada’s consumer prices are rising twice as fast as before the pandemic. Corporate greed has seen companies pocketing their fattest profits in more than 70 years, even as they complain about inflation. The GOP was, again, shamefully absent in the fight against inflation when they didn’t even show up to vote on, and complete a full Federal Reserve Board that can help combat rising inflation to bring prices down. Senator Daines was not there to do his job that he was elected to do, and for which he is paid to do, making the political win more important. Senator Tester, who posts his schedule for us to see, was there. So keep complaining about inflation as you continue to literally do nothing to help, and Montanans will continue to suffer.
