Sage Newman, the Miracle Girl, and MHS’s Marth Kohl
There’s a busy show in store on Voices of Montana for Friday. Professional saddle bronc rider, Melstone’s Sage Newman, joins us to talk about his good showing at the National Finals Rodeo last week, and the kickoff of the Chase Hawks Rodeo this weekend in Montana.
Then we talk with 7-year old Alayna Hutchings, a young rodeo queen who is battling cancer, while still making the world a brighter place with her mission to bring toys to children’s hospitals in all 50 states. The rodeo community and many others have come alongside Alayna to help her realize her young dreams.
Then, Martha Kohl with the Montana Historical Society will join us with a few holiday tales Montana Christmas past, from the raucous gold rush days to a Judith Basin toy hospital that saved both toys and Christmas in 1932.
