One of the frequent refrains from this election is a strong call for more common sense in government. The drug impact of open borders and the community impacts of runaway illegal immigration are a couple examples cited where Biden Administration policies have hurt the country. Energy pricing and foreign dependency are another.
That’s the backdrop for the conversation with GOP Senate candidate Tim Sheehy, who will be welcoming former President Donald Trump back to Montana for a rally this Friday in Bozeman. President Trump has endorsed the former Navy Seal and Bozeman businessman in his race against Senator Jon Tester.
President Biden has proposed term limits and other sweeping changes to the U.S. Supreme Court. Meanwhile, in Montana, a former Associate Justice of the state’s highest court, Justice Jim Nelson, has come under criticism for inappropriate comments he made in the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
We take in some reaction from those two stories from Cory Swanson, who has served as the Broadwater County Attorney for the past 10 years, and as past Deputy Attorney General for the Montana Dept. of Justice. Swanson is currently a candidate in the race for Montana Chief Justice.
