President Biden has proposed term limits and other sweeping changes to the U.S. Supreme Court. Meanwhile, in Montana, a former Associate Justice of the state’s highest court, Justice Jim Nelson, has come under criticism for inappropriate comments he made in the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
We take in some reaction from those two stories from Cory Swanson, who has served as the Broadwater County Attorney for the past 10 years, and as past Deputy Attorney General for the Montana Dept. of Justice. Swanson is currently a candidate in the race for Montana Chief Justice.
