Plugging In To Telehealth

One of the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on healthcare is that it has “… pushed us two to three years into the future,” according to Richard Miltenberger, CEO of Mountain Health COOP.

Miltenberger was referring to the emergence of tele-medicine, which has proved to be an asset to both the provider and the patient during the pandemic, and likely will help reduce overall healthcare costs going forward. Listen to the podcast to hear a discussion on the benefits and challenges of telehealth along with other policy changes that may be on the horizon dealing with home healthcare, and prescription medication.

Leesha Ford, an instructor at the MSU College of Nursing in Bozeman also joins the conversation to give us her perspective as a nurse and educator.
