The government stays funded – temporarily. What’s next? Click on the podcast to here Montana’s Western District Congressman Ryan Zinke, a member of the House Appropriation Committee, discuss the work remaining to getting a budget passed that addresses America’s needs and priorities.
Sorry Zinke; But EV vehicles are NOT the solution to a better cleaner world. In fact it is just the opposite. We have a broke government spending billions if not trillions of dollars on building a solar and wind generation pretending this is going to provide a source of energy that is viable for consumers, as well as safer and cleaner for the environment. It doesn’t take a genius to look into the processes and the actual pollution caused. It may be different than say coal or oil, but it sure isn’t better or less. Then look at the viability of electrical generation via wind and solar. Let’s call it ‘Green’ It fails to meet even the basic requirements of the economy growth, nor the consumer requirements.
1) ‘Green’ is far more expensive than current generation. Even with the ridiculous subsidies that government shovels into the gopher hole, it fails to produce cheaper and better products. One of the reasons, is that wind and solar production has been around and studied for over 120 years now. To this point, there is no recovery for the investment over a reasonable time. But it’s cost makes it a non-competitive solution. Period! (Look at Montana. Because of the forced -actually Marxist- programs on us to buy the government energy, our electrical power went up. We now see several months over $100 ‘for the two of us’ where it only happened maybe once or twice a year before) By the way – have you seen the windmill blade graveyards? Isn’t that something.
2)To find a replacement source of energy, it has to be available on demand. You can not change demand, even though this government has tried. ‘Green’ energy produces at its peak when demand is low. Then when demand goes up, ‘Green’ energy is not available, or very limited. But even then it is expensive.
3)The manufacturing of replacement energy has to be done within the borders of the USA. We are once again very vulnerable to a war at any time. Like right now it is very close. Even if we have a Civil War in the USA, we need to provide for our own energy. Can’t you just see China and Russia cutting us off, just to weaken the United States? I sure do.
4) The production of energy, like most products, must be done by the private enterprises, not government. Right now government is the driving force for our energy. They want to control all of our energy, to control this country. But government always picks the biggest loser in any product they force on us. I do believe it is fueled by what is best for the SWAMP, not what is best for the country and consumer. Especially products like this need to be driven by the consumer. That gives us competition and selection for best and fairest prices.
5) The replacement energy must be able to be distributed to the consumer, with safety and consumer availability. Instead we have a Marxist government that is forcing private enterprises to accommodate their so called ‘better’ ‘Green’ product.
Now lets look at the very stupidest product the US Government has put out and forced on the public. That is ETHANOL.
The government likes to pretend they have huge science backing on this. Well they do, but choose instead to ignore it and propagate their greatest form of ‘education’, fearmonger and misinformation indoctrination of the public. Let’s look at several of the point government used to shove this down our throat.
1)Ethanol will reduce our dependence on foreign oil. : In actuality it takes at least a gallon to gallon and half to get the ethanol to the distribution plants. So, no it doesn’t reduce or dependence on foreign oil. We use more petroleum products to make this, and we get back.
2)Ethanol will reduce our pollution because it burns cleaner: Fact of matter is, ethanol is almost identical in pollution to petroleum. It may burn slightly cleaner, but not enough to ‘save the planet’.
3)Ethanol will reduce the cost of gas: Nope. In fact between the cost of input, corn( – remember sugar cane was made illegal to use by Congress) But to pass the inflated price along to assure farmers get their contracts for corn, the government provides a subsidy to buyers to pay more for corn for ethanol than say feed.
4)Ethanol is another product that is just not viable. Oh, sure, several politicians got stinking rich off this ethanol program, but the citizens and consumers of this product have paid dearly. Vehicle prices are up at least $5,000 to handle ethanol; Distribution has even more regulations and steps to dealing with ethanol; Cost per gallon is at least 10 to 15 cents more. Even higher with higher prices. ; We have higher costs per mile because ethanol is actually less efficient than pure gas. Because ethanol burns at a lower temperature, it takes more fuel to go a mile.
5)If the government wants to force ethanol on us to enable a subsidy program for farmers. then just pay the farmers a subsidy and buypass the public. It will save time and frustration as well as money.
So the next time you hear some idiot claim that they are for ‘all of the above’ when it comes to energy. You remind them that this ‘alternate’ energy that government has forced on us, has put this country in a position where we are unable to compete in the world market. Thus we have lower economic reliability and lower exports.
Well, except for crooked politicians.
