I-194 is a Montana citizen’s initiative that is expected to make the November ballot that will prohibit corporations in Montana from spending to influence elections. Proponents say it’s step in the right direction to lessen the large influence of money in politics. Critics say the plan will not be effective, is unconstitutional, and leave the playing field of political influence to individual millionaires and billionaires.
